Mission Trip

New Orleans, July 2007

Poem
From Alaska to New York and all across our land
Christians joined together in New Orleans to lend a helping hand
Helping to rebuild hearts and homes, when disaster struck them down

Support came from everywhere, they were not left alone.
Two years later the progress has been slow,
The devastation was overwhelming and took such a toll we know.

Gutting down the ruined walls a and building up the new,
Took muscles, sweat and hard works and lots of determination too.
Hammering, scraping, tiling, painting, and rebuilding hopes and dreams Caring, sharing, comforting, God's love surrounded us...what a team.

Now home again we can not stop, Their story must be told.
God's work is far from finished there, so lets keep it on a roll.
May we continue to join together in support and in prayer
God Bless each Katrina victim and keep them in his care.
