ANNOUNCING OUR INTENTIONAL INTERIM PASTOR (IIP)!

The Rev. Dr. Julius Carroll, IV, will become King of Kings’ IIP on Tuesday, May 1, 2018, and will be presiding at the services of worship on May 6th.

Pastor Carroll received his Master of Divinity and Doctor of Ministry degrees from Lutheran Theological Seminary at Philadelphia.  He comes to us directly from Prince of Peace Lutheran Church in Greensboro, NC.

His areas of expertise and strength are interim ministry; teaching; evangelism/mission; multicultural ministry; pastoral care and visitation; recruiting and equipping leaders; social ministry, and inter-personal climate.

In Pastor Carroll’s own words:  “My initial approach to leadership is one of look and listen, listen and look.  Every mission context has a history and if one is to lead a congregation into a future, one needs to know the congregation’s past and the congregation’s felt-needs in the present.

When it is time to set vision, establish goals, and implement strategies, my style of leadership is to ask congregants, What if…..?  It is out of the mutual conversation about where we all discern God’s ministry in the place where God has placed us that VISION becomes REALITY.”

We are proud and happy to welcome Pastor Carroll to King of Kings!
